  • Coaching content: session notes, goals, intake responses, and messages exchanged with our team.
  • Payment data: handled by third-party processors (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Support and feedback: emails, survey responses, and cancellation reasons.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Device data: browser type, operating system, device identifiers.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used for sign-in sessions, preferences, and basic analytics.

Information from third parties

  • Authentication providers (e.g., Google) when you sign in via OAuth.
  • Scheduling tools (e.g., Calendly) when you book a session.

  • Employers and recruiters: If you are a student and have marked your profile public and approved, employers may view your profile and any contact fields you opted to make public.
  • Service providers: hosting, database, authentication, email delivery, payments, scheduling, and analytics vendors that process data on our behalf under written agreements.
  • Coaching staff and contractors: our team uses your information to deliver coaching and consulting.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

4. Your Privacy Choices

  • Profile visibility: Students control whether their profile is public, and whether email, phone, resume, and cover letter are shown to employers.
  • Access, correction, deletion: You may view and edit most personal data from your account. To request a copy or deletion of your data, email hello@mooretechcareers.com.
  • Marketing emails: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to opt out. Transactional emails (account, security, payment) will continue.
  • Cookies: Your browser controls cookies. Disabling required cookies may impair sign-in and core features.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize identifying information except where retention is required (for example, payment records or fraud-prevention logs).

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections, scoped database access controls (row-level security), and least-privilege service credentials.
